SpiderMan: Far From Home becomes the First SpiderMan movie to go past $1 Billion Mark at the Box-office.
Far From Home becomes the third Marvel movie to earn $1 Billion at the box-office. the others being Captain Marvel($1.1 Billion) and Avengers: Endgame($2.79 Billion).
Moreover, Avengers Endgame recently bagged the title of Highest Grossing Movie of All Time.
This year is definitely going special for Marvel, well which year is not. Marvel is continuously producing blockbusters after blockbusters which doesn't seem to be ending any soon. Although coming years will be difficult for Marvel because their money-making stars are now retired from this Cinematic Universe. (Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans) which doesn't include Scarlet Johannson as she will be returning as Black Widow for another movie.
With all this SpiderMan seems to be the one who can cash in the attraction and also work as Iron Man for the new Phase of Marvel movies which are new and have high risk as people are still not familiar with The Eternals and other Marvel newbies. In order to work this strategy, Marvel wanted Far From Home to be a hit which it became after a short span after it's release but it is the highest-grossing SpiderMan movie keeps the hope strong.
It is not long after we see SpiderMan becoming the Iron Man of the MCU. The legacy of Iron Man was portrayed awesomely in the movie and it also tells us how much important Tony Stark was to MCU. His absence will not be easy to forget and hence Marvel will most probably continue the legacy with SpiderMan after seeing how his character arc is scripted in the MCU.
Most people underestimate Tony Stark in the MCU because of his nature of being smart and always attention-seeking personality but however, he is the one who saved the universe. Even Marvel would have underestimated how important Tony Stark is because he is not even an A-list character in the comics. The only person who made him Tony Stark is Robert Downey Jr.
Which somehow goes to Tom Holland as the next SpiderMan, also we will be seeing him in the suit for nearly 5 more years with no chance of anyone replacing him taking his suit. Also, we need to talk about the Sony, because Sony owns the rights of SpiderMan and this was the last film contracted with Marvel which means that now Sony can make its own Spiderverse by using other SpiderMan characters such as Tom Hardy's Venom.
Sony is, however, trying to include Venom in MCU which seems to be a great move because SpiderMan movies now cannot make out the best without being the part of MCU. Venom, however, was a good movie and worked well than Wonder Woman and many others at the box office despite the unnecessary negative reviews it got because it was somewhat of a solo movie introducing the character.
That's all for today check out our other articles. We will talk about Venom later this week.
